Galambila is dramatically reducing its environmental impact
with the installation of a large solar array. Working with our
chosen provider SI Clean Energy, Galambila has installed a
111 panel, 27.75Kw Solar system. We are also the first
Aboriginal Health Service that SI Clean Energy has worked
with and we would recommend that anyone thinking about
going solar have a good look at them as a provider.
Because Galambila operates mostly during daylight hours,
we use over 95% of our energy throughout the day. During
summer, this system can meet our electricity use requirements
throughout the day and during winter it will go a long way towards meeting our needs. We are expecting to see some big reductions in our running costs as well as our environmental impact.
